Oracle Data Mining (ODM) is a separately licensable option of the Oracle database that enables one to implement data mining applications. With Oracle Data Mining, one can find patterns and insights hidden in your data. ODM contains several data mining and data analysis algorithms for classification, prediction, regression, clustering, associations, feature selection, anomaly detection, feature extraction, and specialized analytics.

Oracle Data Miner[edit]

Oracle Data Miner is the GUI interface for Oracle Data Mining that ships with Oracle 10g and higher releases.

History[edit]

Oracle obtained the Darwin data mining toolset with the acquisition of Thinking Machines in 1999. Starting with the release of Oracle 9i in 2002, Oracle introduced Oracle Data Mining as an option to Oracle Enterprise Edition.
